A short note on the architectural and organisational moves that made the largest milestone in a decade a non-event for customers.
When DSV announced the Schenker acquisition, the SCM platform faced a step-change in load and complexity. The brief was simple: absorb it without a customer-visible blip.
We approached it on two axes. On the platform side, we re-segmented the workload boundaries and removed the synchronous coupling that had quietly accumulated for years. On the org side, we stood up a dedicated testing function with the mandate — and the budget — to slow releases down when needed.
The result: ~3× headroom delivered ahead of the cut-over, with release cadence intact.
